Races to Watch in the 2026 Midterms

With the midterm elections less than a month away, we are excited to share our voter power and donation power rankings for the upcoming Congressional elections. The higher the score, the more your vote, donations, or canvassing hours can make a real difference– in Congressional, legislative and judicial elections.

These rankings are calculated using our voter power metric, which employs real-time polling data. We use it to calculate and rank upcoming races according to how much a single vote can shift the probability of a different outcome. This is because not all votes are created equal– some elections are decided by wide margins, whereas in others only a small number of votes can actually change the outcome, making them high-stakes contests where individual participation (and donations) can have a measurable impact.
